I thought you might be in need of some quick and easy cranberry recipes, as cranberries are always a favorite this time of year. Plump, moist cranberries add a perfect sweet-tart to all of the heavy flavors of a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

These recipes also work well for a Thanksgiving brunch the day after Thanksgiving, for all of you who are not going shopping and fighting the crowds.

Do enjoy! I highly recommend the Cranberry Muffins. I just made them tonight before doing this newsletter, as I needed a better muffin photo. They are really good!

Recipe for Preserving Children:

1 large grassy field

1 dog

1/2 dozen children-all sizes

1 long narrow brook

Mix children with other ingredients and empty them in the field. Stir continuously. Sprinkle with flowers. Pour brook gently over pebbles. Cover all with a deep blue sky and bake in a hot sun. When children are well browned, they may be removed. Cool in a bath tub with lots of soap and warm water.

A Helpful Hint:

If an egg has a very thin shell, or is chipped, and likely to crack when being boiled, add a few drops of vinegar to the water.
