This month: A Special Mother's Day Brunch Menu
With Mother's Day just around the corner for many of you, I wanted to share some recipes that are fairly quick and easy to make that can turn an ordinary breakfast or brunch into something a bit more special.Being a mom myself to a wonderful young boy, Mother's Day has become more meaningful and I began wondering just how long this tradition has been going on. Much to my surprise, Mother's Day has been a long time tradition dating as far back as the ancient Greeks and Romans.
This well written article goes into the history of Mother's day. It is not just a Hallmark Holiday, but has a long history going back many centuries.

Mother's Day Brunch Recipes
Crab Quiche:
This is a simple quiche recipe that is made with eggs, crab meat and Swiss cheese. You can use either fresh flaked crab meat or canned crab meat in this delicious quiche.
Bloody Mary Recipe:
A homemade Bloody Mary recipe that is not too spicy and not too bland. Give this recipe a try for something a little special for brunch.
Cranberry Muffins:
Tender muffins made with chewy cranberries
and cherries and topped with a cinnamon sugar streusel topping. Who could resist these fresh baked muffins in the morning.
Summery Fruit Salad:
A quick and easy fruit salad to accompany your Mother's Day brunch menu. This fruit salad is made with pineapple,
strawberries, and mandarin oranges. It is sweetened with confectioner's
sugar and grated coconut.
Fruit Cocktail Coffeecake:
This coffeecake recipe is made with canned fruit cocktail and
has a cream cheese glaze that covers the top of the cheesecake.
Crumb Coffeecake:
A moist and dense coffeecake recipe with a delicious crumb topping. This is surprisingly good and very easy to make.
