Leftover
waffles: Did your favorite waffle recipe make more waffles
than your family could eat? Find tips for freezing and
reheating those delicious waffle recipes.
Love making and eating waffles but wondering what to
do with the leftover waffles?
Did your favorite
waffle recipe make more waffles than your family could eat? It
would be a shame to throw them out, but what do you do with leftovers?
Freeze
them! Let the waffles cool and then place them in
a plastic freezer bag with wax paper between the layers, removing as
much air as you can. Place the leftover waffles in the freezer for up
to a month.
Ready to reheat your leftover waffles? Here’s three different
methods.
How to reheat frozen leftover
waffles:
Microwave:
Place them in the microwave for about 45-60
seconds and they make a super fast quick breakfast for those mornings
you are on the go. They will be softer, but still yummy.
Toaster:
If you prefer a crispier waffle, try reheating
them in your toaster if the slots on your toaster are wide enough. Some
newer toasters have special settings on them just for frozen items.
Oven: You can also place them in
a single layer directly
on the oven rack in a preheated 300F degree oven for 10 minutes and
they will be ready for butter and syrup.
Enjoy your leftover waffles again the next day for breakfast
or
brunch, this time without having to clean out the waffle maker or
batter bowl.
